Insurance While You're in Australia

I recommend that you check out this 6 minute video: https://www.oshcworldcare.com.au/information_video.aspx It does a great job of explaining how your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) through WorldCare operates. You can also download a copy of the policy.

If you're taking the optional group flight, you must have an International Student ID Card (ISIC). If you're not taking the group flight, I still recommend that you pick up an ISIC. Check out all the benefits by visiting www.myISIC.com. It's worth it for the insurance alone. From the home page, go to Travel and then Travel Insurance. Read about ISIC Connect, too. It's a great way to stay in touch while you're on the road. You can purchase the ISIC easily from this site.

If you are also covered on your parents' insurance, be sure to find out how to make a claim should the need arise. Your home campus may also offer insurance in the event wish to increase your coverage. Check with your study abroad office.

Things I Wish I Had Known Before I Left the USA

In this section I'm asking students to leave comments about what they wish they had known before they arrived at USC. Please leave any helpful hints you can think of.

Here's the E-mail address to use if you'd like to ask me questions or need help: uscliz@hotmail.com.

My Time at USC

I'm hoping to get some students to write about their experience at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Come on guys...please leave some comments for future students. Dig out some of those memories and photos and share them with us. What did you think of the University? Your classes? Your accommodation? Where did you travel? What's your fondest memory?
